Faster, more accessible images
Images are usually the heaviest part of a page and a big source of Google Images traffic. Enter a URL and the checker lists every <img> with its alt text, file size, format, declared width and height and lazy-loading status, with a thumbnail so you know which image is which.
Problems are flagged per image: missing or empty alt attributes, files over 200 KB, JPEG or PNG files that could be converted to WebP or AVIF, missing dimensions that cause layout shift, and broken image URLs. A summary shows alt-text coverage and the total size of the page's images.
