AI background removal that stays on your device
Removing a background by hand takes ages. This tool uses the open-source U²-Net deep-learning model to find the main subject of your photo and cut it out in a couple of seconds. Unlike most online removers, the model runs inside your browser — your photo is never uploaded to anyone's server.
Download the cut-out as a transparent PNG for design work, or give it a clean white background for marketplaces, a brand colour, or a soft blurred version of the original for a portrait-style look. A before/after slider lets you check the edges.

Tips and good to know
- Best results come from photos where the subject is in focus and stands out from the background.
- Fine hair and fur are the hardest part for any AI; switch off Crisp edges for a softer, more natural outline.
- For online passport photos, check the official rules — many require a plain white or light background and a specific size. Resize afterwards with the Image Resizer.
