Fix photos that are too dark or too bright
Indoor shots, evening photos and pictures taken against a window often come out too dark. Increasing brightness lifts the whole image so faces and details become visible again; reducing it helps with slightly overexposed shots.
Drag the slider and compare with the original using the split view. Pair brightness with a touch of contrast (under More adjustments) so the image doesn't look washed out. The final photo is processed at full resolution.

Common uses
- Dark indoor photos: Make party and restaurant pictures visible.
- Documents photographed in poor light: Improve readability before sharing or printing.
- Product images: Get a brighter, cleaner look for listings.
Tips and good to know
- Pure white areas can't get any brighter; pushing too far makes highlights lose detail. Increase gradually.
- For photographed documents, combine +20 to +40 brightness with extra contrast, then make a PDF.
