From Markdown to publish-ready HTML

Markdown is the fastest way to write formatted text, but websites, email tools and CMS editors often need HTML. Paste Markdown here and see a live preview as you type, then switch to the HTML code view to copy clean, semantic markup: headings, paragraphs, lists, links, images and emphasis.

It supports GitHub Flavored Markdown: tables with column alignment, task lists with checkboxes, fenced code blocks with language classes and ~~strikethrough~~. Turn on line breaks as `<br>` to match how GitHub comments and chat apps treat single line breaks. The preview is sanitized, so pasted content can't run scripts.

Tips and good to know

Frequently asked questions

Which Markdown flavor is used?

GitHub Flavored Markdown (GFM), converted with the Marked library. It covers standard Markdown plus tables, task lists, strikethrough and fenced code blocks.

Is raw HTML inside Markdown allowed?

Yes. It's passed through to the HTML output. The preview sanitizes it so scripts can't run.

Does it add syntax highlighting?

Code blocks get a language-xxx class, which highlighters like Prism or highlight.js use. The colors themselves come from your site's CSS.
